My 6-year-old son, David, has been telling us since last Summer that he wanted a Nintendo Wii-U game system for Christmas.  We explained to him that due to it's cost (close to $400) we probably wouldn't be able to afford it and besides, he already has an older yet perfectly functional game.  He said, "That's ok, I'll just ask Santa."

We thought that he'd eventally forget about it and move onto something else, as many 6-year-olds do.  But, he continued week after week to mention that he couldn't wait until Christmas for Santa to bring him a Wii-U.  Finally in November as it became closer to Christmas and he continued to bring it up, we tried to explain that Santa can't always bring everything that kids ask for.

Well, after seeing this letter and picture, we knew that he not only understood that he might not receive the Wii-U but more importantly he knows the true meaning of Christmas!  It brought tears to my wife's eyes and even choked me up a little bit too, so I wanted to share.
