This week your donation can go further with Match Day. Match Day is an on-line fundraising event sponsored by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation to generate support for 20 charitable organizations in the Milwaukee region that provide critical need services (e.g. food, shelter) to some of the area’s poorest and most vulnerable. By combining their own resources with others contributed by the Brewers’ Community Foundation, Faye McBeath and many others, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation has assembled a pool in excess of $750,000 that is available for distribution as “match.”
To earn that match, each participating organization is charged to drive their donors and supporters to make on-line contributions to the organization via the website set up for that purpose: www.matchdaymke.org One organization that you can help out is Daystar which helps women affected by domestic violence.
