Christmas Chocolate Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
3 squares unsweetened chocolate (Bakers or similar brand)
1 cup margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
Additional colored sugar for rolling
Directions:
Microwave chocolate squares and butter on high in a glass bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes or until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir.
Add 1 cup sugar and stir until well blended.
Stir in egg and vanilla until completely mixed.
Mix in flour and baking soda.
Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls, roll in additional colored sugar and place on cookie sheet about 1 inch apart.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
