Christmas Witch Cookies
2 1/4 cups triple sifted flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 C softened butter
1 C brown sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla
1/2 tsp water
2 Tbsp molasses
4 cups chopped candy bars
(Kit Kat, Twix, any milk chocolate bars, Rolos, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, Crunch bars, Heath bars and the like)
Preheat over to 375*
1. Triple sift flour, salt and baking soda. Keep aside.
2. Cream together butter, brown sugar, vanilla, water, egg and molasses until soft and fluffy. (don't forget to soften butter or you'll be beating forever - NEVER use melted butter)
3. Combine flour mixture with creamed mixture using heavy spatula.
4. Add chopped assorted candies to dough until well incorporated.
Drop by heaping teaspoonful 3 inches apart on non-stick cookie sheet (or use non-stick spray). Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes (longer if caramels, toffees or nougats have oozed onto cookie sheet - you can pretty much see when they have firmed up) and transfer to wire rack. Cool completely and store in air tight container. Enjoy.
