One Bowl Macaroons
1 PKG. 14 oz of coconut (5 1/3 cups)
2/3 cups sugar
6 TBSP flour
1/4 tsp salt
4 egg whites, beaten
2 tsp grated lemon, orange or lime peel
1 tsp almond extract
Directions:
Heat oven to 325*F
Mix coconut,sugar,flour and salt in large bowl. Stir in egg beaten egg whites, grated peel and almond extract until well blended. Drop by TBSP onto lightly greased and floured cookie sheet.
Bake: approx. 20 minutes or until edges of cookies are golden brown. Remove from sheets and cool on wire rack
Makes about 2 dozen
